| The 9-1-1 KID HERO event recognizes heroic youngsters who call 9-1-1 to save a life, property or to report a crime. These children methodically and calmly call 9-1-1 and provide the 9-1-1 Call Taker with the necessary information to dispatch emergency personnel (police, fire, emergency medical services) quickly. |
| The 9-1-1 KID HERO event has consistently been one of our favorite events. While providing a wonderful opportunity to recognize the youth in the communities we serve, it also enables us to stress to the importance of teaching children to be "Emergency Ready".
