Description:
At the Commission's Regular Meeting on May 1, 1991, the Board of Health was re-established (Item #91-RC-166) pursuant to the Official Code of Georgia Section 31-3-2.1. This Board was established in 1952 under the 1951 Plan of Improvement and SB 204, Ga. L. 1951. The 1951 Plan gave Fulton County responsibility for health care in Atlanta and Fulton County. SB 204 provides for the establishment of County Boards of Health in counties of over 300,000 in population.
