The purpose of the Citizen Deputy Program is to have citizens assist County employees with the removal of illegal signage within the right-of-way as well as reporting zoning and other code violations. This effort will result in an additional strategy to protect the environmental and aesthetic integrity of Fulton County.
The goal of the program is to decrease the number of code violations through public awareness.
What is a Citizen Deputy? A citizen volunteer to aid and assist the County in identifying and removing illegal signage within the right-of-ways, as well as monitoring and reporting other zoning and code violations in the County.
Who can become a Citizen Deputy? Any law abiding citizen 21 years or older with full time residence of Unincorporated Fulton County.
How can I become a Citizen Deputy? To become a deputy one has to simply attend the training orientation session given by the County, along with completing a simple application process including a background check.
