 Fulton County Level 2 Drought Response Declaration

On November 17, 2016, The Director of Georgia Environmental Protection Division issued a Level 2 Drought Declaration for 52 counties, including Fulton County. Outdoor irrigation of lawns, gardens, and trees is per­mitted twice a week on the odd/even schedule. Even and unnumbered addresses may water on Wednesday and Saturday before 10AM and after 4PM and ODD addresses may water on Thursday and Sunday before 10AM and after 4PM.

Current Outdoor Watering Rules

The Following activities are prohibited during Drought Response Level 2

Washing hard surfaces such as streets, gutters, sidewalks, and driveways, except when necessary for public health and safety

Using water for ornamental purposes, such as fountains, reflecting pools, and waterfalls

Use of fire hydrants, except for the purposes of firefighting, public health, safety, or flushing

Washing vehicles, such as cars, boats, trailers, motorbikes, airplanes, or golf carts

Non-commercial washing, or pressure washing, of buildings or structures, except for immediate fire protection

Charity, or non-commercial fund-raiser, car washes.

Professional Exemptions to Level 2

Pressure washing

Permanent car wash facility, provided that it is connected to a sanitary sewer system of a political subdivision or local government authority or recycles used wash water

Construction sites

Watering-in of pesticides and herbicides on turf

Other activities essential to daily business
