Stormwater Education for Pollution Prevention | Print |
Authorized by the Clean Water Act, the Nation Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) protects water against pollution sources by regulating stormwater runoff.   During every storm event, rain water drains off the land into the nearest stream, river, or lake, carrying with it myriad pollutants found in our communities.
Using household chemicals according to label instructions and properly disposing of wastes will greatly help reduce the impact of stormwater runoff on our precious water resources.   Please see below for helpful information to help you be a good steward of your watershed.   Want to get even more involved?   Read more about how you can Adopt-A-Storm Drain or participate in our Storm Drain Marking Program.   Both are available in unincorporated south Fulton County.
