Fulton County is committed to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for citizens. As part of this commitment, Fulton County is in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is an official document adopted by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners as the vision and policy guide for decisions about the development of Fulton County for the next 20 years (2010-2030). The Plan will create broad policies to guide the land use and rezoning as the County evolves in the areas of transportation, housing, parks and other public facilities, natural resources and historic resources.

The title and guiding principle of the Fulton County 2030 Comprehensive Plan is “Your Community, Your Future”. Recognizing that the comprehensive plan is a shared vision of the future of Fulton County, this plan sets to articulate a vision of how Fulton County will grow in ways that sustain community values.  The County will work together with residents, business owners, elected officials, taxpayers, property owners and other interested members of the community to gain their input and feedback. With public participation, this Plan will be a valuable and useful resource that will have an important role in shaping the growth and development of the County.
