Administration/Safety and Member Services Section
The Administration Section is responsible for developing and managing the annual budget, managing and maintaining contracts, preparing reports that are submitted to the Board of Commissioners, and processing all of the purchases.
The Safety and Member Services Section is responsible for pay roll, human resource management, recruitment and hiring of new personnel, promotional processes, legal and personnel issues, training and member development for the department’s entire workforce and ensuring that superior customer service is provided both to our members and the citizens.
Planning, research, and training are vital to any department’s success. In an effort to become locally and nationally recognized as a progressive and innovative department, our Training and Member Development Division provides quality fire and emergency medical training to our members.

Logistics Division
The Logistics Division consolidates the functions of fixed facility and motor fleet maintenance, equipment and supply allocation in addition to procurement and research to facilitate efficient and effective utilization of fire department resources. The divisions goal is to provide quality goods and services to the members of the Fulton County Fire Department in a controlled, expedient manner.
Equipment and Supply Allocation
The division administers the inventory and supply distribution network to meet the daily and task critical needs of the fire department including office and janitorial supplies, emergency medical supplies, fire tools and equipment, station furnishings, uniforms and protective clothing.
Fleet Upkeep Coordination
The division works with the maintenance shop, station officers and outside contractors to maintain the fire departments fleet of vehicles and fire apparatus. This includes preventative maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment in addition to annual testing of fire pumps, hose and ladders.
Facilities Upkeep Coordination
The Logistics Division coordinates closely with station officers and the county's General Services Department for the repair and maintenance of the fire department's facilities. The General Services Department and/or private contractors perform most of the work. This includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, overhead doors, appliances, renovations and pest extermination.
Research and Procurement
Departmental purchasing programs are centralized through this division for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness. The Logistics Division strives for incremental improvement and effectiveness of the departments logistical resources through a commitment to research and study in the areas of protective equipment, new fire apparatus, janitorial supplies, station wear, fleet maintenance, and facility upkeep.
