The Training and Member Development (TMD) Division is dedicated to providing the department’s members with the training necessary to develop and maintain the skills required to save lives and protect property. TMD offers training to department personnel in fire suppression; emergency medical services; hazardous materials; technical/special rescue; mass casualty incidents/weapons of mass destruction; fire apparatus operations; and the incident management system. This division trains and certifies new recruits to the Department, re-certifies firefighters, EMTs and paramedics on a yearly basis according to the State of Georgia requirements.
