The Board of Commissioners Approves an Additional Retiree Seat on the Pension Board of Trustees
On Wednesday, June 4, 2008, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution amending the pension plan to add a second retiree seat to the Pension Board of Trustees. The new seat is to be filled by November 1, 2008, and will initially have a term ending June 30, 2010. Subsequent terms will be four years in duration. the inital early expiration will provide for a staggering of terms for the two retiree seats.
Pension Board members are responsible for the management, investment and control of the Trust fund and disbursements from the trust fund. More details of the duties and responsibilities of Board members can be found here.
