Who Can Ask For a Birth Certificate? |

- Registrant-person listed on birth record
- Either parent-name must be on certificate
- Legal Guardian-must show proof
- Grandparents-if paternal, father's name must be on certificate
- Adult brothers or sisters-must be 18 years old or older
- Adult child-must be 18 years or older
- Husband/wife-must have marriage license
- Legal representative-of any of the above with proof
If you do not meet one of the above criteria, you cannot receive a certified copy of a birth certificate.
