4-H & Youth Development
Enhances the school curriculum and teaches life skills to youths between ages of 9 through 19 in Fulton County. Programs such as: (a) character education, (b) preventing youth violence (c) leadership education, and (d) environmental awareness is conducted in schools during and after school hours. These programs are also designed to assist youth in their educational growth and development.
The center is located on a 38-acre hardwood forest in South Fulton County. This county facility is one of Georgia's five 4-H Centers. It is the only urban 4-H camp located four miles from Hartsfield International Airport. The center is ideal for day-time, overnight and weekend educational programs. The site currently consist of five cabins sleeping up to 210 youth with an adult private sleeping quarters in each cabin. A dining hall and educational center is located on the property.
