On November 17, 2016, The Director of Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) issued a Level 2 Drought Declaration for 52 counties, including Fulton County. Read more about EPD's drought management rules.

Outdoor irrigation is permitted twice a week on the odd/even schedule. Even and unnumbered addresses may water on Wednesday and Saturday between 4PM-10AM and Odd addresses may water on Thursday and Sunday between 4PM-10AM.   You may receive a 30 day exemption for newly installed landscape or overseeding.   Please complete the landscape exemption form.

Between March and October, about 20 inches of rain fell in Atlanta, nearly 13 inches below average.   Experts predict dry, warm weather is likely to persist through the winter. This might be the beginning of a multiyear drought and we should conserve our water resources accordingly.   Visit the United States Drought Monitor website to view the most current drought map.
