What is the Board of Zoning Appeals and what do they do? |

The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) is a 7-member board appointed by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. The BZA is responsible for hearing and deciding appeals on primary variances; interpretation of any of the provisions of the Zoning Resolution by the Director of E&CD; allegations that there is an error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by any Fulton County official in the enforcement of the Zoning Resolution; and a permitting or procedural decision of the Department Director or Deputy Director regarding minor or administrative variances.
