Transportation Planning plays an active role in the development of the transportation Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The Transportation Planning Section provides the short- and long- range planning services as part of an independent planning agency, the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), by addressing the primary needs for major transportation improvements including regional studies, transportation planning and  traffic calming.
