Fulton County and Union City celebrated the outcome of a collaboration to ensure that seniors living in and around Union City have a center of their own.   Following a program attended by a crowd of enthusiastic seniors, Union City and County leaders cut the ribbon Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the         Union City Neighborhood Senior Center at Etris Community Center.   The occasion formally marks a joint vision between the two government agencies to enhance services for seniors.   The partnership allows Fulton County to provide programming, an instructor and a daily healthy lunch to residents age 60 and over who use the Center while Union City provides the facility and maintenance.

An added advantage of the partnership to serve seniors is that it allows Union City to provide another facility to serve its youth for recreational purposes.   Previously, seniors and Union City Parks and Recreation participants shared the neighborhood facility.
