Vice Chair Emma I. Darnell and the Board of Commissioners have announced the groundbreaking ceremony for the Fulton County Aviation Community Cultural Center to be held Thursday, June 27, 2013, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., 3900 Fulton Industrial Boulevard.
Preparedness Key to Safety During Hurricane Season
Atlantic hurricane season brings the threat of tornadoes, strong wind, heavy rain and urban flooding to the Metro Area Imagine a hurricane making landfall on Georgia’s coastline, with winds 150 mph or greater causing terrible damage. The tropical cyclone spawns several tornadoes as it moves inland and heavy rains cause major flooding. High winds also persist resulting in uprooted trees and down power lines.
The Fulton County Housing and Human Services Department, Office of Aging conducted a transportation services Multipurpose Center Survey to assess the satisfaction of users regarding performance and services.   Â

Fulton County Government Recognized For Best Practices In Energy Efficiency and Conservation Practices by U.S. Department of Energy
Fulton County is among the select recipients of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program to be recognized for its best practices.
In response to inquiries from citizens, Fulton County has received an update regarding service delivery at Northside Hospital Behavioral Health Center from Mr. Jim Newton, Manager of Behavioral Health Services at Northside. Mr. Newton has assured the County that there has been no decision made by Northside to change behavioral health service delivery options. The services provided through the VISTA program are expected to continue.
South Fulton residents take advantage of pet adoption and pet services at South Fulton’s Canine Crossing
Despite the morning clouds and a chance of rain, South Fulton residents came out in numbers Saturday, May 22, 2010 to the First Annual Pet Adoption Festival at Canine Crossing. The event was sponsored by FultonCountyParks and Recreation along with Fulton County Animal Control Services.
