Quick Tips for Weapons Carry License Applications (Gun Permits)

Please note:  all applicants will be required to appear downtown to sign for their licenses when they are approved and ready for pickup.

Applicants who provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope will be notified by mail when the license is ready for pickup.

Age: 21 years of age or Older.

Who: You must be domiciled (primary residence) in Fulton County.

What to Bring: Applicants must furnish proof of Fulton County residence such as a valid Georgia Driver's License, Georgia State ID Card or Voter Registration Card with current Fulton County address. No Post office boxes accepted. Non-US citizens must furnish a Resident Alien ID card of other proof of lawful admission as a permanent resident in the USA.

Fees:

• $30.00 cash (Application Fee to the Fulton County Probate Court at the time of application)
• $42.25 money order.  If you are being fingerprinted by the Fulton County Police Department.  Other police departments have difference charges.  See below.
• Applicants must hand-carry the fingerprinting fee to the Police Department at the time of fingerprinting.
