Mr. Anthony Nicks joined Fulton County in 2005 as the Deputy Director of Internal Audit. Mr. Nicks' astute business acumen allowed him to excel extensively within the audit arena earning him the position of Director of the Office of Internal Audit in 2008. Under his leadership, he has been able to successfully provide recommendations for more efficient operations throughout county departments, assist in the development and monitoring of county-wide revenue generating initiatives and secured more than $20M in funds due Fulton County. Prior to joining Fulton County, Mr. Nicks served as a Senior Auditor for the City of Atlanta Airport Fund. He also has extensive experience in federal grant auditing.

Mr. Nicks earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College. He is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner  and a Certified Government Auditing Professional. Mr. Nicks is a member of The Government Finance Officers Association, The Institute of Internal Auditors and The Certified Association of Fraud Examiners.
