The community is invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Wolf Creek Branch Library on Thursday, May 30 at 11 a.m. The new library will be built on Merk Road. Guests may park at the nearby Wolf Creek Amphitheater and Public Safety Training Facility, located at 3025 Merk Road, College Park, and a shuttle will be available to transport guests to the ceremony.

Fulton County kicked off Older Americans month Wednesday, May 1, 2013, along with the rest of the nation to celebrate the value of older Americans. Fulton County Commissioners issued a proclamation that recognized seniors for their value as continuing economic and social contributors to society.

MARTA is helping customers prepare for its upcoming service changes on September 25th and pass price increases on October 3rd, which were adopted as part of the FY 2011 budget. Notices are posted on signs in rail stations, bus bays, trains and buses and new bus schedules will be available by September 20th.
The Fulton County Division of Environmental Health Services (EHS) has announced the identification of 56 mosquito pools that have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). Based on the increased number of positive mosquito pools and one human case, the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness has increased their efforts to deter mosquito growth in areas surrounding combined sewer overflow (CSOs).
The Fulton County Public Works Department will host a FREE Household Hazardous Waste Workshop on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. The workshop will be from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Ocee Branch Library which is located at 5090 Abbots Bridge Rd, Johns CreekGA, 30005.
