Positive WNV Mosquito Pool Count Reaches 56
The Fulton County Division of Environmental Health Services (EHS) has announced the identification of 56 mosquito pools that have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). Based on the increased number of positive mosquito pools and one human case, the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness has increased their efforts to deter mosquito growth in areas surrounding combined sewer overflow (CSOs).

Free Household Hazardous Waste Workshop |

The Fulton County Public Works Department will host a FREE Household Hazardous Waste Workshop on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. The workshop will be from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Ocee Branch Library which is located at 5090 Abbots Bridge Rd, Johns Creek GA, 30005. In this workshop, residents will learn how to use alternative household cleaners.

Fulton Health Offers Flu Vaccines Starting September 13 |

Flu season is on the way. The Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness encourages residents (ages 6 months and older) to protect themselves and their families by getting their flu shots. Starting Monday, September 13, 2010, vaccines will be available Monday through Friday at county locations from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
