Fulton County Housing and Human Services will host two more homeowner education sessions in September. Seniors and other citizens can learn how to make sound financial decisions about their homes.Â
The sessions will be held at two senior centers on the following dates: Wednesday, September 8, 2010 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. New Horizons Neighborhood Senior Center 745 Orr Street NW Atlanta, GA 30314
Wednesday, September 22, 2010 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Dogwood Neighborhood Senior Center 1953 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway Atlanta, GA 30318
Both information sessions will also tell participants how to recognize and avoid potential scam artists and other fraudulent business solicitations that they might receive by phone or from individuals who visit their neighborhoods.
Housing and Human Services began hosting the housing information sessions in January to provide citizens with solid information on how to protect their credit and their homes. Previous education sessions focused on home rehabilitation programs, the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) and the Community Block Development Grant program.Â
