Citizen Comment Wanted on Vital Community Development, Housing, and Emergency Shelter Services Program | Print |

Fulton County’s Department of Housing and Human Services wants citizen comments on the 2011 Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year (FY) 2011.  Citizens will speak to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Shelter Grant Programs and draft amendments.

Housing and Human Services welcomes citizen comments regarding the planned use of approximately $4 million in federal funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support Community Development Block Grants, HOME Investment Partnerships and Emergency shelter grant programs.  The programs provide improvements and services that benefit all Fulton County citizens and specifically targets low- and moderate-income citizens to improve their living conditions.

Citizens are encouraged to attend and participate in any of the eight (8) public hearings to assist the County in finalizing its amendments to the 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan.  The comments will be provided to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners during the November 3, 2010 meeting.  The plan must be submitted to HUD by November 15, 2010.

The citizen review and comment period begins October 4, 2010 with the written comment period ending on November 2, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
