Wednesday, May 15, 2013 is National Peace Officers' Memorial Day.  Fulton County is honoring fallen public safety personnel with a special proclamation to be presented during the Board of Commissioners' meeting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, in Assembly Hall of the Government Center.

There is a special display in the Atrium of the Government Center to pay tribute to the fallen with wreaths and a banner listing the names of deputy sheriffs, police officers, firefighters, and the deputy marshal killed in the line of duty.  The display will be in place all week. 

Fulton County public safety personnel who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to the citizens of this county include: Sheriff’s deputies Thomas W. Camp, G.E. Jenkins, Ricky Leon Kinchen, Henry Eugene Privett, Hoyt Keith Teasley, Robert Williard Watson, Adda J. Webb, and Verner J. Yarborough; Deputy Marshal David Larry Folds; Police Officers Aaron Javon Blount, David Leslie Hagans, and Christopher Bicker May, and Firefighters Harold Gregory “Hoot ” Gibson, Michael Gurley, Felix Roberts, and Jimmy C. Walker
