WHAT: Fulton County Arts & Culture will begin online registration for the Fall Session August 13, 2013. The eight week session begins Tuesday, September 17 and will include classes in all arts disciplines. Classes are available for children and adults and the offerings vary by location, please check the website for a complete list of classes. WHY: The arts are essential to the quality of life of our citizens and to the economic and social health of our communities. The mission of the Fulton County Department of Arts and Culture is to insure all citizens’ access to the arts. Fulton County Arts & Culture operates four arts centers whose collective goals are to encourage creativity in communities, make the arts accessible, and provide arts opportunities for traditionally underserved populations.

The Fulton County Arts Council was established by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners in 1979 to ensure equal access to the arts for all Fulton County residents. The Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture is designated to providing arts programming and research, and to supporting the citizens and nonprofit organizations in the fourteen municipalities and unincorporated areas across Fulton County, and as such assists the Commission in developing and implementing the County’s policies on art and culture.
