Fulton County Hosts Open House Meetings for South Fulton Comprehensive Transportation Plan | Print |

The County seeks public input on major transportation projects included in the plan

In January 2013, Fulton County in conjunction with the cities in South Fulton held three meetings to present findings on the Existing Conditions and the Needs Assessment of the South Fulton Comprehensive Transportation Plan (SFCTP). The consulting team, with input received during the public meetings and the completion of the technical analysis, drafted a set of project recommendations for the next twenty years.

This month, the Fulton County Department of Facilities and Transportation Services, Transportation Division will hold three final public open house meetings to give residents the opportunity to comment on the major transportation projects identified in the SFCTP. These projects include pedestrian facilities, bicycle facilities, public transit, roadway upgrades and widening, trails, bridges, intelligent transportation systems, maintenance, and freight.

County data as well as maps depicting proposed projects will be displayed and available for public viewing. Information gathered from the open houses will be used to enhance the project list and finalize the plan.
