The South Fulton Behavioral Health Center provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health care to adults.  The Center also houses the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program (PSR), which offers a therapeutic, rehabilitative, skills building, & recovery service for individuals to gain the skills necessary to allow them to remain in, or return to, naturally occurring community settings & activities.  The PSR Program operates Monday thru Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  These services are geared towards individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

The South Fulton Behavioral Health Center also houses the Peer Support Program, which focuses on building peer relationships, skills maintenance & enhancement, employment & job readiness skills, and the ability to become advocates for yourself and other consumers.  Peer Support operates Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and its services are geared towards individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

 

HOURS OF OPERATION

The South Fulton Behavioral Health Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and Wednesday from 8:30 AM - 8:00 PM.

GROUP THERAPY PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

"Mind Over Matter - A Therapeutic Group for Depression & Anxiety"

  • Participants will develop coping skills amenable to healthy patterns of self, and managing depression.  The consumer will be able to identify personal growth, anxiety and depression management skills at the end of the session.  (This session lasts for 12 weeks)

"Empower Yourself: A Support Group for Women"

  • This group therapy program will help women to share common feelings, concerns, experiences, and personal support for situations common to females, while working through changes and increasing their level of functioning. (This session lasts for 12 weeks)

"Strengthening Each Other: Managing Psychotic Symptoms"

  • People participating in this group therapy program will gain insight on psychotic symptoms.  This program was designed to help individuals who have been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder to learn more about their illness.  This group therapy session will be very beneficial to individuals who have been recently diagnosed or just had their first psychotic break.  (This session lasts for 12 weeks)
