Citizen Review and Comment Period November 11, 2009 to December 9, 2009
Fulton County annually receives approximately $3.8 million in Federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) programs.
These funds can be used to provide improvements and services that benefit all Fulton County citizens, with the primary intention being to improve the living conditions of low- and moderate-income people.
As required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Fulton County must develop and publish for citizen review and comment, its five-year Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan outlines strategies, community needs, long and short term objectives, resources and proposed projects for submission as a combined planning and application document. Public review and comment is required prior to decisions on project funding by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
