Citizen Review and Comment Period
November 11, 2009 to December 9, 2009

Fulton County annually receives approximately $3.8 million in Federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) programs.

These funds can be used to provide improvements and services that benefit all Fulton County citizens, with the primary intention being to improve the living conditions of low- and moderate-income people.

The Fulton County Department of Housing and Community Development will be holding a series of annual needs assessment meetings to obtain citizens' input on how to expend the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) program funds.  Each year Fulton County receives approximately $3.8 million in federal funds from HUD to assist with a variety of construction, public service, and program activities that primarily benefit low- and moderate-income residents of the County.  The needs assessment meetings provide an opportunity for residents of Fulton County to meet with County staff to discuss their community needs and help ensure that federal funds are spent on those activities that are most critical in the County.  Meeting locations and dates are listed below.  Needs Assessment survey forms can be accessed through the hyperlink and can be faxed to 404-730-8112, or mailed to the address on the form.  For additional information, please call 404-612-8080.
