The Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness has opened a new clinic to provide affordable, limited primary care services to residents. The walk-in clinic, Primary Care Lite, is located on the second floor of the Aldredge Health Center located at 99 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive, Atlanta.
“We understand that the economy is drastically affecting many residents with no or little health insurance and the Primary Care Lite program is another opportunity to increase the access to needed care to Fulton County residents,” states Dr. Kim Turner, Interim Health Director of the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness. “The Primary Care Lite clinic has been opened to provide our residents with access to quality, affordable healthcare.”
Primary Care Lite provides limited primary care services to adults in Fulton County with a principal focus on education, prevention and screenings of chronic disease. Cost for initial/ follow-up visits and lab services are $20.00 per visit.
Residents can see a doctor for minor illnesses, chronic disease screenings such as hypertension, cholesterol and diabetes early treatment. Services will include a general examination including physician assessment, vital signs, finger stick glucose and cholesterol, appropriate prescriptions and/or referrals. Clients are required to purchase their own medication.
