THE FULTON COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT TRAFFIC SECTION

The Fulton County Police Department’s Traffic section’s primary responsibility is to investigate serious injury, fatal, and hit and run vehicular accidents that occur within the unincorporated areas of Fulton County. The section also serves as an enforcement and education unit by the enforcement of state and local traffic laws, undercover crosswalk “sting” operations, and addressing the public in regards to traffic safety in public forums. The traffic unit also assists in submitting a traffic plan for major events that occur in the county. The goal of enforcement efforts is to reduce the number of vehicular accidents and injuries that occur on the roadways within the unincorporated areas of Fulton County.
