OUR MISSION

“The mission of the Fulton County Housing and Community Development Workforce Development Division is to assist Fulton County residents and metropolitan Atlanta area employers in developing and sustaining a world-class workforce that realizes viable incomes and benefits, thus strengthening their families and neighborhoods.”Our office provides services to Fulton County Residents, Dislocated Workers, Adults, and Youths.   The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (W.I.O.A) funds are responsible for the operation of the Career Centers.

The vision for the Fulton County Workforce Preparation and Employment System (FCWPES) is to assist Fulton County residents and metropolitan Atlanta area employers in developing and sustaining a world-class workforce that realizes viable incomes and benefits, thus strengthening their families and neighborhoods.

This will be achieved through the following goals:To enable individuals to achieve their highest potential.To ensure employers have the skilled workers they need to compete effectively in the global economy.To capitalize on the untapped potential of the unemployed, underemployed workers, discouraged workers, youth and other job seekers with special needs.To create an enterprise that eliminates fragmentation among the public sector and utilizes private sector leadership.
