Services in the One Stop also assist with obtaining and maintaining unsubsidized employment that leads to self-sufficiency.

The One-Stop Career Centers host a comprehensive computerized resource lab.  Services available to customers include labor market information, onsite recruitment events, weekly job development events, access to the State of Georgia’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL), career/vocational information, career transition information, referral to training partners, GED preparation, vocational training, life skills training, and a variety of job search assistance such as job readiness workshops, resume preparation, internet access for online job search, email account capability,  and self-assisted on-line assessments; computers, fax machines, and phone lines for residents to conduct comprehensive job search activity; as well as referrals to supportive service agencies when and if necessary.

The One-Stop provides two types of career services to meet the needs of the customers utilizing the Resource Center.  Career Services vary based on your enrollment in WIOA programs and services.

Two types of Career Services:

  • “Basic” formally known as “Core” Services
  • “Individualized” formally known as “Intensive Services”

Basic

  • Career Services – self-service available to universal customers
  • Staff Assisted Basic Career Services – available to universal customers with staff assistance
  • Eligibility must be determined

Resource Centers are available for self-service at any location; while individual services are available at the North and South Career Centers once residents have attended orientation, been deemed eligible for programs and services, completed the necessary assessments, and assigned to a case manager, which results in your enrollment for programs and services.
