Avanell Tracey-Goff was born and raised on the tiny island of Trinidad, of Trinidad and Tobago. She migrated to the United States at the age of 18 and settled in Brooklyn, New York, where she lived for 12 years before becoming a resident of Georgia.
She attended CUNY University - College of Staten Island where she graduated with a degree in Accounting and Economics. She entered college as a Pre-Med Major but switched to Accounting in the middle of her second year as the love of Math was too powerful.
With almost 20 years of experience in Finance, she has held many titles including Assistant Bookkeeper, Accounts Payable Clerk, Staff Accountant, Treasury Analyst, Accounting Associate, and Business Manager. She is currently the Purchasing Manager under Madam DA’s administration, where her main functions include managing the day-to-day operating expenses for the office and being the financial liaison for the department.
Avanell is an avid traveler, but reading is her passion. A good book goes a long way.
