Coty Elder

Coty Elder is a technology entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Play The Crowd, the first Black-owned Omniverse. Through the platform, consumers, brands, and creatives can curate their own Metaverse experience. With the platform’s proprietary tools, users can purchase virtual land, develop the property, and utilize digital storytelling to create unique content deployed through Play The Crowd’s Augmented and Virtual Reality solutions.

Coty began his career in entertainment marketing and channeled his passion for consumer engagement into software development. He previously developed and integrated software, media, and messaging into interactive user experiences for renowned brands including the Atlanta Falcons, Ford Motor Company, the Tom Joyner Foundation and more.

Coty also spearheads software development for the Defense Logistics Agency, the Department of Defense’s (DOD) combat logistics support agency. In this role, he leads initiatives to transform emerging enterprise technology management processes into a digitally augmented, interactive decision support capability. While working with the DOD, Coty has employed rapid application development prototyping to enhance user feedback and expedite client evaluation of software design requirements.

Coty is passionate about the next generation of digital storytelling and is a frequent speaker on how virtual lives will play an important role in our physical realities. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
