I began my career in the United States Army, where I obtained a top-secret clearance and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. I attended Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio, where I studied Accounting. In 1987 I began my law enforcement career with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office in Cleveland, Ohio. Initially, as a Corrections Officer, two years later, I attended and graduated from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Academy then became a Deputy Sheriff. In 1995, I became a Police Officer with the Maple Heights Police Department in Maple Heights, Ohio. I became a state-certified Field Training Officer and was later promoted to Police Detective. I worked in the Juvenile Investigative Division, General Investigative Division, and Homicide Division.

In October of 2005, I relocated to the Atlanta, Georgia area with my family (wife and daughter). In 2006, I began my employment with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. I attended and graduated P.O.S.T. Mandate at the Clayton County Regional Law Enforcement Academy. While attending Mandate, I was assigned to the Complaint Room in the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Upon graduation, I was assigned to the Crimes Against Women and Children’s’ Unit and later reassigned to the Major Case Unit. I was promoted to a Director, where I supervised the Major Case, CAWAC, and Trial Units.

I have been assigned as the lead investigator in approximately 125 homicide cases where convictions were obtained at a 92 percent rate. I have been awarded Investigative Supervisor of the Year, Investigator of the Year, Major Case Investigator of the Year, and Specialized Unit Investigator of the Year during my tenure.
