ADA 35th Anniversary Rally

The county plans ongoing recognition of the impact of the law in the workplace.
July 26, 2025, marks the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In observance, the Fulton County Office of Diversity and Civil Rights Compliance (DCRC) will host the American Disabilities Act 35 Rally (ADA35) on Thursday, July 24. A series of vendors will be on-site from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Atrium of Government Center in downtown Atlanta, to provide ADA information and updates.

Upon becoming law in 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in many areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and many public and private places that are open to the public.

Fulton County’s Department of Diversity and Civil Rights Compliance champions those rights by ensuring that people with disabilities have access to county services, programs, and facilities. This includes compliance with Title I and Title II of the ADA. Access for services including request for reasonable modifications and effective communications such as braille and sign interpretation.
