Happening in Fulton: Fulton County Powers Up Oak Hill with Solar Energy

Fulton County is making strides toward sustainability with a new solar panel installation at the Oak Hill facility. Hear more from Energy & Sustainability Manager Jessica Lavender. In 2020, the county signed a contract with Cherry Street for seven buildings. Since these projects came online in 2021, we've saved over $130,000 on our electricity bills. What's amazing is that the county is not paying anything upfront for these cost savings. Cherry Street is paying all of the upfront cost and taking care of all of the ongoing maintenance. We are simply paying them monthly for the electricity produced just like you would for your electricity bill.
