As we see increases in temperature, seniors need to take extra precautions to remain safe. Hear more from Director of Senior Services Ladisa Onyiliogwu as she informs seniors on how to be aware of critical signs as we see rises in temperature. I'm here to encourage older adults to be aware of signs of hyperthermia and to make sure that you're staying safe as our temperatures continue to rise. Be on the lookout for muscle cramps, dizziness, your feet and your ankles swelling, or rapid pulse rate increase. Ways to make sure that you're avoiding heat related illnesses is to limit your consumption of caffeine or alcohol. Make sure that you're staying hydrated as much as possible and stay indoors. If you have to go for a walk, do that earlier in the morning or possibly later in the evenings. From me to you, we want to make sure that you're staying well and safe.
