The Department of Arts & Culture is proud to present After the Moment We’re In, a group exhibition featuring contemporary artists Jamele Wright, Sr., Julio Mejia, and Jason Sweet.
On view from Saturday, August 23 through Saturday, September 27, 2025, the exhibition explores mixed media collages as a mode of disruption, reassembly, and material inquiry. Through techniques of layering, erasure, and juxtaposition, each artist invites viewers into richly textured compositions where memory, materiality, and meaning are continuously reimagined.
The exhibit will open with a public reception on Saturday, August 23 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and conclude with an engaging artist talk on Saturday, September 27 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Free and open to the public, After the Moment We’re In will be on view at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum and Conference Center, located at 3900 Aviation Circle, NW, Atlanta, GA 30336.
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and by appointment.
