Happening in Fulton: Fulton County Launches ACT Program to Help Seniors Avoid Cyber Threats

August 22, 2025

ACT (Avoid Cyber Threats) is an online training for older adults in Fulton County. Hear more from Dept of Senior Services Director Ladisa Onyiliogwu. The program launched was headlined by our Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts, along with Commissioner Abdur-Rahman, and our County Manager Dick Anderson. It was very important for those individuals to be a part of this kickoff because they are actually a testament to why cybersecurity is so important to residents of Fulton County and what government is doing to keep their residents safe online. Every single senior who uses the internet or has a mobile device is encouraged to participate in this self-paced online training at no cost to them. What we're trying to do is a really good effort to protect our seniors, to make sure they know the threats that are facing them, and how to avoid them. We encourage seniors to call our STARline at 404-613-6000. You should also go on to our website at fultoncountyga.gov to begin training. Pleasse don't wait, and of course don't become a victim. Act today.
