We talked about the state of the county and how things are going with finances. Obviously people are concerned about what's happening at our jail and other issues, you know the court systems. There's so much news about local government and federal grants being taken away. So people are concerned about the finances and how things will be funded, what isn't funded, and how our budget allocates for different things. We had a real good conversation about the budget and how we're spending your taxpayer money. What I hope happens in any town hall meeting is that people know that their elected officials are really there for them, to serve them, and to hear what they think we should be doing. Hearing from the constituents really gives us an idea about what their priorities are, what they mean to them, and also the changes that need to be made.
