Happening in Fulton: FCCU Visits Fulton County’s Central Library
FCCU students visited Central Library and learned about its resources, history, and role in the community. Hear more from FCCU Participant Sade Hurst. I learned so many things that I didn't know. My favorite part was learning about the social services portion. It's great to hear about the services that they're providing because often when I was a little girl, you would see people where the library was that resource for them. That was a place of comfort. When I was living in Phoenix it was a really hot place, so people would go to the library to get heat relief and stuff like that. To know that Fulton County offers services for mothers and families, especially the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for free tickets for those families, that's really amazing. Honestly, I only lived in Fulton for a couple of years. So learning about Auburn Library and what kind of history they have, black history in Atlanta, it's great to learn about. That's something I definitely want to visit later on.
