Fulton County Citizens University students had class with the Tax Commissioner to learn about county revenue and services. Hear more from FCCU Participant Araba Dowell. I love the fact that he broke down the impact of the work that they're doing with seniors. I think there's a lot that most citizens don't know about exemptions when it deals with seniors and their protection so that they could age gracefully in their homes. Learning more about what he's done to advocate for that has been just warm; I love it. It's an impressive program, and I regret not doing it sooner. I think every citizen should take advantage of this opportunity. We take for granted the moving parts that keep our government going. It's highly informative, and I love learning about the people behind the scenes. That's the part I enjoy the most: learning their stories, their leadership stories, as well as the work that they do.
