Happening in Fulton: Inside Fulton’s Behavioral Development & Disabilities Center
After renovating their Behavioral Development & Disabilities Center, Fulton County held a hard hat tour. Hear more from Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities Director LaTrina Foster. We are very excited today that we were actually able to do a hard hat tour with some of our clients as well as the parents. So it's an opportunity for them to see what we've cultivated in this space that was here since 1983. We were able to come in, renovate, and create a space for our individuals that we serve, our adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Within this facility we will have various classrooms. We will have an art room. We will have a computer lab. We'll have a prevocational room which is designed to teach them work skills if they ever desire an opportunity to transition into the community and actually obtain employment. In addition to that, we have other classrooms that will teach social skills and living skills. We are offering new and enhanced services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities here at 475 Fairburn Road, our new south training center.
