Fulton County Kicks Off 2026 Recycled Art Contest

The deadline to submit entries to the Department of Public Works is Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Calling all young artists! The Department of Public Works is inviting all K-12 students in Fulton County to enter the 2026 Recycled Art Contest.  

Artists entering this environmentally focused mixed media art contest are asked to create original works using recycled materials and speak to the importance of litter prevention. Participants are required to submit photos and videos of their artwork for judging. Student artists are encouraged to use recycled materials from their homes and neighborhoods. For those in need of recyclable materials, we encourage all participants to visit local Recycling Centers, like the Roswell Recycling Center, for inspiration. 

Artwork must be original and created by students. All entries must be created entirely by using recycled materials. No paint, markers, or crayons may be used. All participants must take a photo of their artwork and submit it as an attachment to www.tinyurl.com/RAC2026 by Thursday, February 26,

Finalists will be invited to a reception on Wednesday, April 22, in the Peachtree Gallery at the Government Center, 141 Pryor Street in Downtown Atlanta. Guests will be able to view all work on display. Winners will receive monetary prizes in the form of gift cards, and other promotional items.

Student artists are encouraged In addition, for participants in need of recyclable materials, our partners at the Roswell Recycling Center are providing their recycled inventory for use in art projects.
