Commissioner Arrington hosts 2026 District Dialogues

Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington Jr. Hosts 2026 Spring District Dialogues

March 02, 2026
District 5 residents are invited to join the Commissioner to discuss Homestead Exemptions during four separate town halls.

Fulton County residents in District 5 will have one more opportunity to learn more about the Homestead Exemption process. Hosted by Fulton County Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington Jr., the last date for the 2026 Spring District Dialogue Town Halls is March 23.

The last in-person meeting will provide residents with an opportunity to receive vital information and updates regarding Homestead Exemptions. In Fulton County, a homestead exemption is a legal provision that helps to reduce the amount of property taxes on owner-occupied homes. The home must be your primary residence. Applications can be filed year-round but must be submitted on or before April 1 to apply for the current tax year. Applications received after April 1 will be applied to the following tax year.

Residents will have the opportunity to meet with the Commissioner and senior staff from the Tax Assessor's office.
