Happening in Fulton: Banneker High Students Experience Fulton Magistrate Court Through “Bang the Gavel”

Banneker High School students visited the Magistrate Court for the Bang the Gavel program. Hear more from Chief Magistrate Judge Hon. Cassandra Kirk. It was a wonderful experience. The students were engaged. They got to see some civil and they got so see some criminal. Then the coup d'état is they actually got to pretend to be attorneys and parties in a trial. We had a wonderful mock trial, and so had a jury verdict. Hear more from SAFE Center Coordinator Tifanie Bishop. They are actually way more interested now. Even students who might not have been all the way interested are more interested in looking up law careers and just how they can be just a part of things like that so they can make a difference in their community.
