Happening in Fulton: Black History Film Festival Showcases Student Storytelling in Fulton County
For the 19th year, Fulton County hosted the Black History Film Festival where students use film to highlight Black history. Hear more from Actor Lamman Rucker. This is where we have our wonderful young people from throughout Fulton County, honoring different Black History heroes. I think this event is inspiring for everybody, regardless of who you are or where you come from. As we know, Black history is not only our history, it's everybody's history. It is American history. This is about the art of storytelling. This is about honoring our ancestors. But this is also about honoring those who are currently making Black history; not only those Black History honorees and legends of the past. This is about making sure that young people stay connected to the past. They also understand that they're a part of Black history and Black history of the future.
