Commissioner Arrington’s Family Fun Day Returns in 2021

Annual event resumes May 1 with food and mask giveaway, vaccine signups

Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. once again invites residents to his annual Family Fun Day. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oak Hill, Child, Family, and Adolescent Center located at 2805 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30315. During the ongoing effort to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event will include food and mask giveaways as well the opportunity to sign up for COVID-19 vaccinations.

“This year we wanted to reach out to our residents who have faced some unprecedented challenges since the start of the pandemic,” says Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. “As part of the emphasis we have each year on healthy living, we want to make sure to address this crisis and help our community receive vaccines and other assistance it needs at this time.”

Last year’s Family Fun Day was cancelled due to the pandemic. This year, food, provided by Hosea Helps, and facemasks will be given out to visitors on a first come-first served basis as supplies may be limited.

The event can be shared on social media via the hashtag #2021FamilyFunDay. To RSVP for the event, go online to www.2021ffd.eventbrite.com. Food will be distributed to attendees who RSVP early.
