Fulton County Hosts Open House to Announce Expansion of Youth Behavioral Health Services

January 07, 2019
Federal grant received by contractor Chris 180 allows service expansion to youth ages 13-24.
Fulton County’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities will host an Open House on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 to reveal the expansion of Behavioral Health Services for children and adolescents by contract providers Chis 180 and Summit Counseling. The Open House will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the North Fulton Service Center located at 7741 Roswell Road, Suite 101, Atlanta, GA 30350.

The expansion  of service to children and adolescents in North Fulton known as the Tree House program is the result of  CHRIS 180 receiving a $________substance abuse grant from the US Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA). The grant allows Chris 180 and Summit counseling to offer free outpatient support for youth between the ages of 13 and 24 who are suffering or recovering from a substance use disorder.

In 2018, Chris 180 and Summit Counseling served over _____ children and adolescents.  In 2019 Behavioral Health expect the two agencies to serve over ______ children and adolescents.

Chris 180 and Summit Counseling are contracted providers hired by Fulton County to deliver Behavioral Health Services to adults and youth who are unable to afford private sector services to address behavioral health issues.  The County partnered with the providers for  Behavioral Health Services in 2018 to increase efficiency and increase the number of citizens served by the County’s Department of Behavioral Health
