Fulton County Arts & Culture Presents Paint Pouring Basics Workshop with Lauren Adams
You've seen the videos on YouTube and Instagram, so why not discover why people are so crazy about acrylic paint pouring? Acrylic Pouring is a fun and exciting technique that requires no formal artistic training and no previous experience. This workshop will teach you the foundations of pouring: two basic techniques, paints and mediums to use, how and when to use silicone, and more. Work along with the instructor, or simply watch and take notes to try it for yourself later. Cost: FREE

Learn how to make a simplified 12” - 17” doll with an applique side, solid color back side, and an oval bottom base. Doll will be stuffed with fiber filling.

Creating with Tissue Paper, Ages 13 - Adult

Class supplies: Water, Elmer’s glue, colorful tissue paper, poster board or watercolor paper, paint brush, and bowl for watered down glue.

Printing with Textiles, Ages 16 - Adult

Students will learn how to have a creative printmaking experience without a press and sewing machine. Students will draw an image on the matrix and carve out the image. Then we will print on fabric, cut, collage, and glue/sew the image back together. The objective of this course is to teach different techniques that do not require you to leave your home.
Class supplies: pencil, sharpie, small linoleum or wood block (alternatives: cardboard, styrofoam, paper plate, or inexpensive foam from Walmart) about 10”x10”, black printing ink or acrylic paint. Paint can be purchased from the Dollar Store or Walmart for about $1.00), carving tools (alternatives: x-acto knife, box cutter), brayer (alternatives: an old rolling pin or a empty paper towel roll), scraps of different color fabric; lighter brighter colors work better than dark (alternatives: old t-shirts or pillowcases) about 10”x 10”, fabric glue (alternatives: hot glue gun, glue sticks, or Elmer’s glue might work temporarily), needle, thread, paint brushes (alternatives: Q-tips)
